Before your child records

A parent creates the family, reads the direct privacy notice and submits a signed parental consent form. An owner reviews it before child recording is enabled. Creating an account or ticking a box does not complete this review.

What is collected

The service stores adult account information, your family name, children’s first names or nicknames and age, invited relative details, story recordings, approved replies, consent evidence, and operational records needed to run and protect the service. Use a nickname for your child and avoid including addresses, school names or other private details in a story.

Who can hear a story

A child and their parent can hear the child’s practice recordings. Only relatives you explicitly select can hear the approved final take. There are no public profiles, public sharing links, open chat, advertising or social feeds. The owner control board does not provide access to children’s audio.

No automated story judgment

Coaching questions are written in advance. The service does not transcribe or use an AI system to judge, generate or rewrite children’s stories. Practice and family listening activity are not a clinical or educational assessment.

Your choices and controls

From the parent space, you can remove a relative, revoke a device, stop sharing a story, remove a reply, delete recordings, request a family export, withdraw consent or delete your family. Revoking sharing blocks future access through the service; it cannot recall audio someone has already heard or independently recorded.

Storage and retention

Recordings use private storage and are delivered through permission checks. The parent dashboard shows your current recording-retention policy. Unsent browser recordings stay on the recording device for recovery. They are removed after successful submission or when discarded. Recovery copies expire when their story expires or after seven days, whichever comes first, and are cleared when the app is next opened. An open recorder also clears a copy when its deadline arrives. Signing out or a detected session revocation clears pending recordings. Browser storage can be cleared or evicted, so a recovery copy cannot be guaranteed.

Deleting content makes it inaccessible and queues its removal from active storage. Encrypted backups expire under the operator’s documented backup policy.

The current direct notice contains the operator’s identity, contact details, service providers and full parental consent terms. These must be completed before the public beta opens.
